History

Ming Books has given Twenty six years of service to book collectors, schools and readers.

As part of our 25 year celebration we sponsored a talk by John Simenon about his Father Georges Simenon best known for the Maigret detective novels. The talk took place on Saturday 6th October 3 pm 2007 in the County Buildings Wigtown. This talk was a great success. Simenon titles both hard and paper are available from our shop in Duncan Park Wigtown.

Latest news

With great sadness we announce the death of our youngest Cat Orlando. He was knocked down tonight the 12th of June 2008 and killed by a car.He was such a loving beautiful cat and loved a cuddle. He will be greatly missed by us and the other cats.May he rest in peace.God bless him.

Incidently our business is named after a cat Miss Ming who died of old age before we moved to Scotland. We have two pictures of her in the book room. She loved people to buy books and would curl up with them on floor while they studied a book.
